Adanac Military Cemetery was named by reversing the name ‘Canada’.

Adanac Military Cemetery was made after the Armistice by the concentration of graves from the battlefields and small cemeteries surrounding Miraumont and particularly from the Canadian battlefields around Courcelette.

Special memorials are erected to 13 soldiers thought to be buried in the cemetery.

Adanac Military Cemetery is located 1.75km north of Courcelette on the east side of the road to Miraumont.
