Autumn Comes to Turvey Estate

We went for a family walk with the dog through Turvey Estate.

It's mid-October, and autumn is definitely making it’s mark.

We went for a family walk with the dog to Summerleys Nature Reserve, just outside Wellingborough.

It was a real autumnal day – blustery, cloudy, with the very occasional glimpse of the sun.

The family were happy enough walking the dog (and he was perfectly happy) – but as a photographer – it was a real challenge.

Our dog walk today was to Newton Wood on the high ground above Newton Blossomville in Buckinghamshire.

High ground?  North Buckinghamshire?  Everything is relative!

Golden Leaves

I've been driving past this little orchard or whatever it is for days.  And every time, I've looked at the sun shining on the golden leaves and kicked myself for not having the camera bag in the car.

Autumn in Cyprus is delightful.  The temperatures are still in the mid-twenties, and the sun still shines most of the time.

Peace comes to the vineyards in Polemi around our villa.  The cooler nights turn the vine leaves golden, such that the late afternoon sunshine really brings out the colours.
