We had a stop for lunch in Emba, dominated by the large and interesting Panayia Khryseleousa church, and the topical (and welcoming) 'Big Brother' Taverna.

Emba is now a northern suburb of the sprawl that has become Paphos.

It used to be a village in its own right, but the expansion of Paphos northwards along the coast has swallowed it up.

The Church of Panagia Chrydeleousa dates back to the 12th century and contains wall paintings dating from the 12th to 16th centuries.

The church is situated in the middle of the village and it's a pleasant stroll around to see it.

For some reason the normally very liberal approach to parking doesn't seem to apply in Emba.  As we sat down to enjoy lunch, an irate shop owner insisted we move our car immediately from outside his shop.

Check out my pictures of Emba in Cyprus.
