The M25 Is 2,000 Miles Away

Sometimes it's easy to forget just how lucky we are.  Until you stumble across a sight like this.

We were out taking the dog for his morning stroll around the countryside.

It was a beautiful morning.  The temperature is nudging the twenties, the sky is blue, and it's mid-February.

Life's conducted at a gentle pace, and I haven't seen a traffic jam here, ever.

As we walked, we heard the goats before we saw them.  And realised they were being led towards us along the path we were walking.

I'm still a bit shy about pointing my camera at the locals, but a pleasant 'Kalimera' got me the right response.  Must learn the Greek for "That's a fine herd of goats you have there!".

And the dog?  He flattened himself to the ground, convinced he was about to be attacked by a herd of large dogs...

See all my pictures of Polemi.
