Afternoon in Pissouri

To us, Pissouri was just a name on a motorway sign as we either headed to or from Limassol.

We'd often talked about going to see, but for whatever reason we'd never bothered.

Shame.  We'd missed a delightful place.

Pissouri is a village located in Limassol District, about half way between Limassol and Paphos. The main part of the village of Pissouri is situated on a hilltop overlooking the sea, whilst 'Pissouri Bay' is about three kilometres away by the sea next to Cape Aspro.

The beach at Pissouri Bay is one of the better beaches of Cyprus.  It's also home to a host of watersports.

We spent a pleasant hour or so strolling around taking it all in, and then found a cafe to sit and drink ice cold coke next to the turquoise blue sea.

Sometimes we forget where we live and an afternoon of being holidaymakers is just good fun.

Check out my pictures of Pissouri.
