As we drove through Lempa one day, we needed to find a shortcut to avoid some traffic.

Off the main road, we passed one of the most curious places either of us had ever seen.  What on earth was that?

Some days later I went back, camera in hand, to find out.

It turns out to be the Cyprus College of Art, whose students clearly delight in producing fascinating sculptures out of the weirdest things to delight passers by.

They certainly delighted me, I spent almost an hour taking pictures of the creations.

Sometimes I find photographing 'somebody else's art' a bit of a moral question.

If you just take a straight picture, is that a copy?  If you interpret in some way, is that fair?  If you contextualise, you often end up saying more about the context than the subject?

No such moral dimensions troubled me with this.  It was big, loud and brash.  And I treated it the same way, picking out shapes and colours as I went.

Check out the  result  - a nice, fun set of pictures of Cyprus College of Art.
