Grape Harvest At Polemi

Written by Mike
The grape harvest in the fields around Polemi is in full swing The grape harvest in the fields around Polemi is in full swing

It's the peak of the grape harvest at the moment in the fields around our villa.

Having watched the grapes grow since the Spring, it was definitely time to take a wander with the camera.

I still approach people in Cyprus with a camera in my hand with a degree of caution.  When will I learn they love having their pictures taken?

That was the case here.  I strolled up, and within five minutes we'd explored everybody's life history and who was related to who.  Cypriots are one of the warmest races I've ever met.

The pictures were easy to take.  A little pop of fill flash at minus 1 stop, and off we went.

And yes the villa in the background of some of the shots is our home.

To see the pictures, go to the Polemi Album in the Cyprus section.
