Grandcourt Road Cemetery contains the graves of 389 soldiers from the UK and one from Canada.  There are 108 unknown graves and a special memorial has been erected to one soldier from the UK known to be buried there. 

Grandcourt Road Cemetery covers an area of 593 square yards. 

Grandcourt Road Cemetery was made in the Spring of 1917 when the Ancre battlefield was cleared. 

Grandcourt Road Cemetery is located 7.75km north east of Albert, about 300 yards west of the minor road from Grandcourt to Pozières, about half a mile from Grandcourt.

    My Grandfather,Sidney.S.Smith of the 8th Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment is buried here.He died (K.I.A) on 18th November 1916.R.I.P
