IRC Cyprus Rally 2011 - SS8 Anadiou
5 November and it’s the last day of the IRC Cyprus Rally 2011. There are six special stages in the Cyprus countryside – once again under a big blue sky on a bright sunny day.
My first objective for the last day? Special Stage 8, Anadiou.

Action at the IRC Cyprus Rally 2011 got underway on the evening of 3 November in the centre of Paphos with the Ceremonial Start followed by a Super Special Stage around the town centre.
Paphos International Rally 2011
Last weekend it was the Paphos International Rally. I love motor rallying, so this was just too good to miss.
From a photography perspective, I gave the ceremonial start and finish a miss, but the action in Paphos Forest was an altogether different matter.
Paphos Carnival!
Yesterday was CARNIVAL day in Paphos!
The centre of town was closed for the giant procession - a feast of fun, bright colours and loud music.
The streets were pcked with merry makers as everybody had a great time. Eat your heart out Rio de Janeiro - make way for Paphos.
Paphos Archaeological Park
Strange. You live in a town, and yet you never visit its tourist attractions.
The remedy? We took a stroll around the Archaeological Park in Kato Paphos.
I’ve been there before – almost four years ago – but that was long before Paphos became our home.
Free Hugs!
Free hugs?
Sure - a group of happy teenagers were stopping the passing tourists by the harbour in Kato Paphos and offering free hugs.
Agios Antonios Church, Kato Paphos
This one always touches me as we walk by. Right in the heart of the tourist area of Kato Paphos is the famous ‘Bar Street’, and right in the middle of that stands Agios Antonios Church.
Officially named after the church, Antonios Street is much better known as ‘Bar Street’.
Paphos Municipal Market, Paphos, Cyprus
Paphos Municipal Market in Ktima Paphos has been on my 'shopping list' for some little while.
So I made a big effort, got out early, and headed into Paphos to check it out.
