This is a set of pictures taken on the third and final day of my Midland Railtourer adventure in 1983. 

The day started out at Banbury.  From there I went to Birmingham New Street, Leicester, Wellingborough and Derby before returning to Banbury.

We went for a family walk with the dog to Summerleys Nature Reserve, just outside Wellingborough.

It was a real autumnal day – blustery, cloudy, with the very occasional glimpse of the sun.

The family were happy enough walking the dog (and he was perfectly happy) – but as a photographer – it was a real challenge.
