Site updating continues! This time the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway Album has been brought up to date with new stuff added.

Now this one I remember well. We did a weekend charter. The Saturday was awful; wind and rain and dull and gloomy. So that evening we had a few too many beers and crashed in a pub.

Sunday I woke early – looked out – and my eyes nearly fell out of my head.

During the night it had turned cold and the rain had become snow. Lots and lots of it.

There’s times when my Chelsea Tractor actually comes into its own – and on this occasion I was glad of the 4WD to get down to Haverthwaite Station.

There were only a few of us made it, but what a morning!

See my pictures of the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway.
