Locotracteur no. 114 of the CFC (Chemins de Fer de Corse) was built in the works at Bastia in 1955 from secondhand parts.

The locotracteur was known as the "Sous-Marin" on account of the round windows.  Quite why is a mystery because submarines don't have round windows!

It's main components were a 150HP Renault diesel engine and the bogies from Billard A150D Autorail no. 114 that had been severely damaged in a collision in 1954.

114 remained in service until the early 1990s hauling light freight trains and carrying parcels beween Bastia and Calvi.  The locomotive sill existed in derelict condition at the CFC works at Casamozza in 2004.

See pictures of 114 in the album of pictures of railways in Corsica.
