At one end of the spectrum, the pictures include a Class 405 4-SUB unit at the end of its long life forming a London Victoria to West Croydon service.
In contrast, there’s a shot of brand new Class 455 unit no. 5832 clattering over the points with the famous signal gantry in the background.
And then there’s a couple of Class 50s in large logo blue livery – at that time gainfully employed on London Waterloo to Exeter services.
