The Tanfield Railway seems packed with potential from the one visit I’ve made there. 

Perhaps it’s because it was a sunny day.  Perhaps its because they went out of their way to make sure we got great shots.  Don’t know, but I will be back.

Our charter used two good and interesting locos: RSH 0-6-0ST (7098/1943) no.49 and Hudswell Clark 0-6-0ST ‘Renishaw Ironworks No.6′. 

Both were beautifully turned out.

Just wish it was a bit nearer home!
