I visited Broad Street Station in March 1983, three years before it was closed and razed to the ground.

Earlier this year I had cause to visit some offices in the Broadgate office development that was built on its site.

In the middle of the offices is an outdoor ice rink.  I paused for a coffee to watch the skaters glide around.  How many of them knew the site had been one of the London terminus stations 23 years previously?
