The 7th Division Memorial at Mametz has been erected by the Lancashire and Cheshire Branch of the Western Front Association.

The inscription on the 7th Division Memorial reads ‘This plaque commemorates the everlasting memory of the 20th, 21st, 22nd and 24th Battalions of the Manchester Regiment who as part of the British 7th Division successfully freed the village on the morning of 1st July 1916’.

The 7th Division Memorial is located in the centre of Mametz, on the north side of the road heading east out of the village towards Montauban.
