D1525 was built by Brush at the Falcon Works in Loughborough, entering service at Finsbury Park on 14 June 1963.
Under TOPS, D1525 became 47.422 during January 1974.
As 47.422 the locomotive was unoffcially named 'Trafalgar' at Tinsley on 24 January 1991.
The locomotive was withdrawn from service during December 1991 and scrapped by Booth Roe at Rotherham during November 1992.
